We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst with a minimum of 4 years of experience, including experience working on government data projects. This role involves developing data-driven insights and delivering meaningful reporting solutions across complex, hybrid data environments. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical knowledge, analytical skill, and an understanding of public sector data requirements.
This role is primarily remote, with occasional on-site work in Washington, DC, required based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand reporting requirements and translate them into BI solutions.

Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, and Business Objects (BOE).

Analyze data from both modern cloud platforms and legacy systems to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Validate and interpret data outputs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clarity in all reporting deliverables.

Leverage tools such as Databricks ETL, Informatica, and EFTU to analyze and source data for BI use.

Ensure compliance with government data governance, privacy standards, and access controls using tools like Immuta and Informatica EDC/Axon.

Support AI/ML-powered analytics through the Advanced Analytics Platform (AAP), where applicable.

Collaborate with data engineers, QA teams, and developers to ensure end-to-end data quality and usability.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

At least 4 years of experience in BI analysis, including experience working on government data projects, preferably for the IRS.

Strong hands-on experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Business Objects (BOE).

Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases and cloud data environments.

Solid understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and reporting best practices.

Familiarity with data governance and metadata management tools in government-regulated environments.

Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using Immuta for data access management or Informatica EDC/Axon for metadata governance.

Exposure to AI/ML analytics tools or environments (such as AAP).

Familiarity with mainframe data extraction from DB2, COBOL, or JCL.

Understanding of federal data security and compliance requirements (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP).
Work Environment:

Remote-first with on-site customer engagement in Washington, DC, as needed. Must be in the Washington, DC metro area.
