We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join our growing team and support our federal customer in Washington, DC. The development team is responsible for developing and maintaining various applications and systems. The customer's platform is in the process of modernizing existing applications that are critical to impactful activities and operations. The work is to be performed onsite in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities:
•Maintain existing XSLT stylesheets to support data and formatting updates.
•Develop new stylesheets and outputs to update legacy print products.
•Develop new publications using JSON, XSLT, HTML, and PDF, leveraging existing tools and frameworks, including Saxon, Antenna House Formatter, Prince, ASP.NET, Spring Boot, and DevExpress Office API.
•Integrate data transforms and print products in existing services and applications.
Experience:
•Minimum 5 years experience with HTML and CSS, especially CSS Paged Media, for web presentation and PDF generation.
•Experience creating print-ready documents using XML, XSLT, HTML, and XSL Flow Objects (XSL-FO).
•Experience integrating XML and XSLT processing tools such as Saxon.
•Experience generating and manipulating PDF documents from XML and HTML sources using tools like Prince, Antenna House Formatter, and DevExpress Office API.
•Experience in Agile methodology, development best practices, and ability to break down work incrementally.
•Ability to collaborate with a team to define project scope, team processes, and technical solutions and prioritize work with competing priorities.
•Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
•Experience working on federal government programs is preferred.
Education Requirements:
•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field of study.
Clearance and Citizenship Requirements:
•Ability to attain and retain a Public Trust Clearance.
•U.S. Citizenship is required for this federal government program.
