We are seeking a Research Analyst to support our Federal Surveys program. Hybrid work options are available. Must be able to work onsite in Arlington, VA, as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the survey design, testing, and implementation of surveys.
  • Identifies substantive and methodological problems.
  • Employs appropriate statistical techniques to conduct complicated statistical or methodological analyses of process data and data from complex sample surveys and present such analyses in written form.
  • Direct, coordinate, and review the work of others to produce accurate, well-written, effectively organized, and clearly presented analyses.
  • Monitor the progress of projects and coordinate information between departmental sections.
  • Review data frequencies for quality assurance. QA the content and formatting of project deliverables.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing survey findings, including visualizations and recommendations for action.
  • Adhere to customer formatting standards and expectations.
  • Help to identify and establish the survey frame for each iteration of the survey.
  • Establish & manage survey respondent Points of Contact (POC).
  • Manage inquiries from respondents and customers through e-mail and phone conversations.
  • Ensure consistent identification and naming of respondent entities.
  • Revise and update survey documentation & reports.
  • QA survey questionnaire content and provide 508 compliant PDF versions.
  • Support other team members with any other issues as necessary during data collection.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Statistics, Market Research, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related field is required.
  • 6-8 years experience in research substance and methodology and statistical analyses.
  • Proficient in survey design, testing, and implementation methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and draw insights from survey data.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy and quality of survey data.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Proficient in data cleaning and validation techniques.
  • Familiarity with research ethics and data privacy regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges in survey design and data analysis.
  • Experience in MS Excel; proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and other relevant data analysis and visualization software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with government agencies
  • Knowledge of 508 compliance
  • Prior experience using survey collection software (Qualtrics, Decipher, Alchemer, Survey Monkey)
